NBR Rubber Sheet Price: Quote Validity and Repeat Orders
Compare NBR sheet offers with a clear expiry date, material identity and change approval. Confirm repeat-order pricing rather than assuming the old offer still applies.

An NBR rubber sheet price should be tied to an identified material, quantity, delivery scope and quotation validity. Before accepting an offer, ask what must happen before the validity period expires and which changes require a fresh quote. A previous purchase price is a useful reference, not a promise for a repeat order. This guide contains no live market prices.
Attach the price to a defined item
Record the supplier's material designation, thickness requirement, dimensions, quantity and supply form on the enquiry. Keep the agreed technical document revision with the commercial offer. A generic NBR description should not be the only link between a sample, a price and the delivered material.
For an oil-contact application, provide the actual fluid and operating conditions for review. Do not interpret a quoted price as confirmation that an unspecified compound is suitable. Material approval and purchasing approval should remain distinguishable records.
Clarify what quotation validity means
Ask for an explicit expiry date and the event that secures the quoted terms, such as the supplier's written order acknowledgement under the agreed contract. Do not assume that sending an enquiry, approving a sample or issuing an unacknowledged order reserves stock or fixes a price.
Where delivery is later than order acceptance, ask whether the price applies to the whole confirmed quantity or to individual releases. Agree any price-review mechanism in writing. This article does not prescribe a deposit, payment term or legal interpretation of acceptance.
Keep substitutions subject to approval
If the offered material or delivery form becomes unavailable, ask for a clearly marked alternative offer. Keep the original and alternative item identities separate. State who is authorised to approve the change and which technical questions remain open.
A revised price should identify what changed: material, quantity, dimensions, packing, destination or other scope. Do not let an unchanged product label conceal an unreviewed substitution. Equally, a lower price alone does not establish that an alternative meets the application.
Treat repeat orders as confirmed requirements
Refer to the previous order and its material designation, but restate the current quantity, dimensions, delivery destination and required schedule. Ask the supplier to confirm availability and the current offer. Explain whether the repeat order must use the previously approved material without change.
If continuity with an earlier sample or delivery matters, specify the identification records you need and ask the supplier to confirm how those records relate to the new supply. Do not claim that a previous successful delivery proves every future batch or application.
Compare the complete commercial scope
Separate the sheet value from cutting, packaging, transport, taxes and other stated charges. Identify minimum order quantities and optional items rather than comparing only headline prices. Confirm currency and the unit to which the price applies.
Keep lead time distinct from quotation validity. Ask what starts the delivery clock and whether drawings, sample approval or other buyer information are outstanding. A valid offer does not, by itself, mean that the material is reserved or ready for dispatch.
Keep a short approval record
Before ordering, retain the accepted quote revision, agreed item, quantity, expiry terms, confirmed delivery basis and approved changes. If an offer expires before agreement, request confirmation instead of copying an old price into a new order.
Send an NBR sheet enquiry. Current price, availability, material suitability and contract terms require individual confirmation. The archive workshop image is illustrative; it does not identify the grade or batch of the quoted NBR sheet.

FAQ
Does an old NBR sheet price apply to a repeat order?
Not automatically. Request a current offer for the identified material, quantity and delivery scope.
Does sample approval reserve stock?
Do not assume so. Confirm reservation and order-acceptance conditions with the supplier.
Can a cheaper alternative be supplied without review?
Require a separate identification and explicit approval of the proposed change before accepting it.
